List of IPL Champions Named Most Valuable Players
A list of players from IPL champion teams who won the Most Valuable Player or Player of the Tournament award in their title-winning season.
The IPL's Most Valuable Player (Player of the Tournament) award recognises the single most dominant individual performer of each season. Interestingly, the award does not always go to a player from the champion team — some of the most celebrated MVP performances have come from teams that fell short. Virat Kohli's record-breaking 2016 season (973 runs) earned him the MVP despite RCB losing the final. David Warner has won the award multiple times from SRH. However, when the MVP does come from the champion team, it often signals a complete player who carried their team to the title.
