The FIFA World Cup is the most prestigious tournament in international football, held every four years since 1930. Only eight nations have ever lifted the trophy. Brazil holds the record with five titles, while Germany and Italy have four each. Argentina's dramatic penalty shootout victory over France in 2022 gave them their third title.
