In Your House 22: Over the Edge (not to be confused with the tragic 1999 event of the same name) featured the climax of the Dude Love vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin rivalry. Mr. McMahon stacked the deck against Austin by making himself the special guest referee, Pat Patterson the special guest ring announcer, and Gerald Brisco the special guest timekeeper. Despite the overwhelming odds, Austin retained the WWF Championship in an absolute classic.
