Mr. Perfect

Executive Consultant of Ric Flair — WWF Championship Match

Curt Hennig served as the 'executive consultant' of WWF Champion Ric Flair at WrestleMania VIII — providing ringside interference and psychological manipulation throughout the championship match against Randy Savage. Perfect's pre-match tease of holding the alleged Elizabeth centrefold on the reverse of a large cardboard was one of the evening's most talked-about moments. During the match, Perfect pulled the referee out of the ring to prevent a Savage pin following the top rope elbow drop, then drove a steel chair into Savage's midsection while the referee was distracted. Perfect was dealing with a significant back injury at this point in his career — he would eventually return to active competition in mid-1993.

Sensational Sherri

Manager of Shawn Michaels — Opening Match

Sensational Sherri accompanied Shawn Michaels to the ring for the opening match against Tito Santana — her role being to remove Michaels' jacket pre-match and kiss him on the cheek in the ritual that had become their signature. Sherri's theatrical glamour and ringside scheming perfectly complemented Michaels' narcissistic heel character, with the Sherri-Michaels partnership becoming one of the WWF's most effective manager-wrestler pairings of 1991-92.

Paul Bearer

Manager of The Undertaker — Grudge Match vs. Jake Roberts

Paul Bearer accompanied The Undertaker to the ring carrying the golden urn that represented the supernatural source of the Deadman's power. At WM8, Bearer's primary role was to protect the urn from Roberts' attempts to use it as leverage against the Undertaker. After the match, Bearer triumphantly recovered the urn and gloated over Roberts' destruction — a perfect visual conclusion to the feud.

Harvey Wippleman

Manager of Sid Justice — Main Event

Harvey Wippleman managed Sid Justice in the main event against Hulk Hogan. Wippleman's ringside interference — jumping into the ring to cause the disqualification finish — provided the nominal conclusion to the main event. His jump-in was the scripted trigger for the DQ that gave Hogan the victory, though the chaos of Papa Shango's late arrival had already compromised the match's planned finish.

Jimmy Hart

Managed Money Inc. and Heel Eight-Man Tag Team

The Mouth of the South Jimmy Hart served double duty at WrestleMania VIII — managing both Money Inc. in the WWF Tag Team Championship match and the heel side of the eight-man tag team match (Nasty Boys, Mountie, Repo Man). Hart's financial counsel to Money Inc. and his encouragement of their deliberate count-out walkout was one of the evening's more cleverly executed heel managerial moments.

Miss Elizabeth

Appeared at Ringside for Savage — Slapped Flair Post-Match

Miss Elizabeth appeared at WrestleMania VIII in what proved to be her final major WWF pay-per-view appearance in the United States. Despite WWF officials — including a young Shane McMahon — attempting to keep her away from ringside during the championship match, Elizabeth made her way down and was present for the decisive moments. After Savage won the championship and Flair attempted to forcibly kiss Elizabeth in a fit of post-match rage, Elizabeth slapped the Nature Boy across the face — one of the most satisfying moments of the entire evening. Her final WWF appearance was at the UK Rampage pay-per-view on April 19, 1992, two weeks after WM8.
