Mankind — the deranged, masochistic character portrayed by Mick Foley, who gloried in pain and attacked with the Mandible Claw — made his Raw debut on the night after WrestleMania XII with a deeply disturbing victory over Bob Holly. Mankind's character was one of the most genuinely unsettling debuts in Raw history, his self-inflicting nature and complete disregard for his own physical wellbeing immediately establishing him as a threat unlike anything previously seen in the WWF.

Marc Mero defeats Isaac Yankem DDS

Singles Match — Marc Mero's Raw Debut

Marc Mero — the flamboyant 'Wildman' character, a former WCW performer making his WWF debut — made his Raw debut with an athletic and crowd-pleasing victory over Isaac Yankem DDS. Mero's aerial ability and charismatic personality generated immediate positive crowd reaction, and his association with Sable added an additional dimension to his character.
